Hudson Whiskey is made by Tuthilltown Distillery in New York, USA. A craft distiller that loves to experiment with different casks and finishes such as Maple and are renown for their unique approach to their products.

Nose 4/5
maraschino cherry, red vermouth, rye spice, amazingly smells like a manhattan cocktail, blood orange and toffee, polished wood, clove.
Palate 3.5/5
Medium mouthfeel, woody grains, rye spice, pepper, cayenne, candied orange, cherry, thyme.
Finish 4/5
Long lingering length, cinnamon, dark chocolate, woody, vanilla, clove and buttered rye bread.
The Verdict
Fantastic nose if you enjoy a Manhattan, carries over with some yummy flavours on the palate and a long lingering finish. Nice and complex across the board, I really enjoy this. Makes an incredible old fashioned and also very tasty on its own.
My only gripe is the small bottle as it goes way too fast, but it does make the pricepoint more accessible for people to give it a go, which i would definitely recommend for Rye Whiskey fans.
The Price
Retailing now at $65 AUD due to the line being discontinued, although it was only $50 when i bought it a year ago and i was happy with the pricepoint considering it makes it a $100 whiskey at full size, which is great value.
